THIS IS HOW HEALED ME ANXIETY WITHOUT DRUGS! Anxiety was something I had struggled with for years, it was then followed by depression. It started with a few occasional panic attacks that left me feeling like I couldn’t breathe or move. Eventually, it became a constant feeling of restlessness and worry that made it difficult for me to focus on anyone or anything. It got so bad that I had to receive therapy. Which, I 100% recommend but the large amount of prescribed drugs was a concern. So I went on a mission for some natural alternatives. I did try the different medications at first, but they only helped me temporarily. No one wants to rely on medication forever.
That’s when I started exploring natural remedies, I was willing to try almost anything natural ( within reason) and this is how I discovered the power of essential oils and meditation. At first, I was skeptical. I mean, scents usually was a connection of hunger. I also didn’t know how something as simple as inhaling a scent or sitting still could actually help me feel better. But I was desperate for relief, so I decided to give it a try.
Miracle in a bottle
I started using Lavender essential oil, a great starter smell. I was amazed at how quickly Lavender made me feel more relaxed and centered. I would diffuse lavender oil at night before bed, and it would instantly calm me down and help me sleep better. I then went on a semi expensive journey of testing more oils, but well worth the expense. During the day, I would use a rollerball with a blend of chamomile. ylang-ylang and sweet almond oil on my wrists and temples. This blend helped me feel more grounded and less anxious.
Challenging but Necessary!
Meditation was a bit more challenging. Sitting still and focusing on my breath seemed impossible at first, but I was very persistent. I started with just a few minutes a day, and gradually worked my way up to 15-20 minutes. It took time, but eventually, I started to notice a real difference. I felt more aware and responded to my thoughts more positively. I was more centered and calm throughout the day, and I wasn’t as easily overwhelmed.
These natural remedies became an essential part of my daily routine, and I started to see a significant improvement in my anxiety levels. Of course, they weren’t a cure-all, and I still had bad days. But those days started to be less and far between. But, I felt more in control of my emotions and better equipped to handle whatever life threw my way. It was empowering to know that I had something that was easily available and helped me feel better without relying on medication.
I can’t recommend essential oils and meditation enough to anyone struggling with anxiety. They may seem too simple to make a significant difference, but they truly helped me heal my own anxiety without relying on drugs. It does take some time and patience, but the results are worth it.
